A Sleepover at Lolli-Pop's!

We had a cutie-patootie come spend the night Friday night!! This little boy has grown up way too fast!!

He is no longer Baby C....he's a Big Boy!

He came to spend the night with us .... we made Mini Pizzas  - as well as a bit of a mess

Uncle Kea was enjoying this too!

Pop can you help me??

Look Mom -I made my own Pizza!!

I had plans to make cookies with the boys....but I guess all the pizza making was just a little too much.... so while they watched a movie.....Lolli made these (sorry this is such a terrible pic!) They were not to tired to eat them though :)

A great recipe from my friend at Raising Future Esthers

On Saturday, we headed to Micky D's the boys' favorite.....

then we headed to
Cute Movie...my favorite part - watching the boys WATCH the movie!!
As if we needed anymore fun we stopped to get ICE CREAM!!!

Cotton Candy is yummy!!

But he needed a second bowl

to make absolutely sure!! :)

Poor Uncle Keaton didn't get in any pictures........ He was busy checking out all the cool movie star pictures on the walls!

I would say Sleepover at Lolli-Pop's was a success!! Because he was far from ready to go home....

Heading home caused some sadness.....but he knows he can always come back!!

Lolli-Pop loved every minute of our time together!!

Still Here....

Yes, for any of you that may still be following my blog. I am still here. I did not mean to stay away for so long. Again, I will tell you that life just happens and one day it is May and the next its the end of JULY!!
Scenes from Kea's Field Day

We have had a full summer. Work, rain, work, rain, karate, mow the grass, rain, karate, laundry, bush hog the yard, work, rain... haa!!! well you get the idea any way!

Besides lots of rain this summer we have been busy, but not as busy as summer's past. Bub decided not to play Legion baseball this year, which meant that baseball was over in May. We ACTUALLY had a break. For those of you that don't know....Legion ball is about 30 games in about 6 weeks. With all the rain that we had, I am very thankful for a baseball free summer. It is the first time in well, I guess 10 years!! Yes, 10 years! I love watching him play ball, but it was a nice break.

VBS started the day my boys got out of school. It came and went like a whirlwind, and I have no pictures. But I do have this video of our pastors.... they are such GREAT SPORTS!! (warning...you may need to run to the bathroom :D ) Oh...sorry, I could not hold the camera still for laughing!!

I usually take lots of pix on Family Night, but this year, we had a special event to attend that night,
SIS got her CNA Certification!! She was in class every Tuesday & Thursday since November. And that night was her final night and they honored each of those ladies at the end of class. This is a big deal because she was accepted into a Nursing Program for the Fall, and having her CNA Certification is a requirement of the program (which by the way, she took her state test two weeks ago and she is now CERTIFIED!!)) So now she is ready for the next step to becoming a Nurse!!

Getting a big ole hug from her Instructor (a dear friend of mine from high school

)

Way to go LADIES!!!

It is so cool how the Lord placed Sis in her class - I haven't seen her in YEARS!!

Next up was Youth Camp - AWESOME AWESOME!!!
Worship Time - (our Bub on the drums!! BLESSED!!)
Love how the Lord works and for the opportunity to be a part of these students' lives. Being in Children's Ministry for years, God has blessed us with being able to see them grow not only physically, but spiritually over the years. They are such a blessing, as well as our Youth Pastor and his wife!!  We had lots of time with the Lord, food, (always have food!!) fun, fellowship, tubing, ziplining.... I got pix of some, but not others!

Lesson time

Of course Kea is a "little youth"

Sweet girls

Love this boy!

Praising the King!

Suiting up for ZIPLINE!
Ready... when's my turn?? (no not really - I didn't want a turn)

 My brave Zippy!!! :)
Going home after a quick stop at Fro*urt. YUM!!
Well, that's all the time I have for now..... hopefully I will finish catching up soon!!

Have a blessed day!

I am a 1 Minute Indian.....???

When Thanksgiving rolls around in Elementary school, also comes the learning about Thanksgiving. You know about the Pilgrims and the Indians.... well, mostly general stuff that we all sort of know in our minds. Some of you, me, may be shocked at what your my second grader remembers about what they are studying. I know I haven't posted much about Kea and how his little mind works. The main reason I haven't, is well.... I am not really sure how to explain it.

Anyway....he has been asking about his ancestors for a while now. Every time the ancestry.com commercial comes on it catches his eye. "See Mom, that's what I am talking about." I know no one else does this, but I sort of, "mmhmm" and go on. I know I should pay more attention, but you just have to know that if I entertain him at all, it will go on & on & on.

Well, back to the Pilgrims & the Indians. The other night this is how our conversation went.

"Mom, do we have any Indians in our family. Are we part Indian? Were any of our ancestors?" (you see where this is going don't you?)

"No, not really, but yes, we do have some ancestors that were Indian." (me in my mind... why is it no one every asks if they are part Pilgrim?)

"Well, can I go on ancestry.com?" (see what did I tell you??) I mean I would really like to know if we have any Indian ancestors. (this was a 15 minute discussion and finally I just gave in!)

"Ok, sure.... go ahead." (He started with my mother and 20 questions later, I tell him, that his Grannie Q was French Canadian, so he is probably not going to find Indians, that the Indians are on Paw B's side)

"So does that mean I am part Indian??" (oh dear here we go...)

"Yes, you are a very small part Indian" (I was trying to think down the line what I would be and what he would be).... " I think you are like a 32nd Indian."

As serious as he can be he says, "So, that means you are a 1 minute Indian?"

I thought for a second, and I lost it, I absolutely lost it. It was not the kind of laugh that you can hide, I busted out, laughed so hard I was crying. Even typing this I am getting tickled all over again! ((I know you may have had to think on that a minute, if it takes you more than 30 seconds you may have a problem, lol)

Bless him! His Daddy got a measuring cup out to explain it to him, because I could NOT keep a straight face.

When I finally composed myself, I called my Dad (& and he cracked up too) so that I could find out for sure and he said that Kea is a 32nd. So I guess I am a 1 minute Indian after all!!

I can only imagine what Kea will share at school..... I am almost afraid!!!

Love this boy!! We never know what he is going to do or say.....

Never a dull moment with this boy!!

Happy Birthday E!

Last weekend we went to help celebrate this sweet girl's 10th birthday. Of all things she wanted to have Coach B come and do some games for her party. Now, if you don't know who Coach B is.... well, he is a silly, fun-loving, witty, comical, and sometimes extremely embarrassing character, that loves children, has lots of fun and games, and typically shows up at our kids summer camp.

As you can see he is a bright fella too! Sorry, I don't have a picture of him in his entire get up....but the suit jacket has matching pants, and what else but black Conv*rse tennis shoes to complete his entire ensemble? Thank goodness, she chose to have a costume party, so he didn't look too out of place.

Coach B and the birthday girl!!

Beautiful Snow White and Raggedy Ann (guess who this is??)

My little Ninja!!

My silly blue haired boy.... the apple doesn't fall far does it???

Typical Coach B!!
Thanks to E and her family for inviting us to celebrate with them!! We had a great time!! Never thought Coach B would go on the road!!!

We love you guys!!!

Camp Sonseeker 2012

The best & the silliest kids on the planet!! (& the brightest!!lol)
Camp Sonseeker 2012 came quickly and was over in a blink of an eye. We had 52 children attend.... and WOW God's Power was so evident!! Anytime you are doing something for the Lord....you know who shows up. BUT OUR GOD IS BIGGER!!! And Praise Him!! Three precious children came to know the Lord as their personal Savior!! I won't tell you all the darts that were thrown our way, BUT God came and worked anyway!! He gets the GLORY for all!!
I love love Mr B!! I am so proud of him!!
( I know we look like highlighters... and this is NOT my color, I am not bitter or anything! lol!!)
Over 10 years ago, Mr B was called to lead our Children's Ministry, and along with that came planning events for our children. This is his 10th year as our camp director. We had been to camp 3 years prior with our Children's Pastor, and when he left, God worked on Mr B to lead. WOW... God works in ways that only He can and he did a mighty work in my husband. Mr B stepped up to the task and I am so proud of how he has allowed God to lead him. Mr B is just a kid at heart and the kids love him! As his wife, I stepped in and followed his lead and we have been so blessed to have the opportunity to work with the children for so many years. One day, I will post the story of when Mr B finally stopped running from what God was telling him to do.
When we tell people about Camp, and tell them how many kids, their eyes get big and say....why do you do that??? and how??? Because God leads and God gives us exactly what we need to be able to do it. AND we need a lot of counselors to go with us and help us with camp!! We could not do it without such a great group of adults and youth that go with us. Most of them have been going as long as we have, and some of the youth were campers at one time. It is so awesome to see them grow up and want to be a part of Camp Sonseeker!

There is so much that I could write about this weekend but my post would be entirely too long!! So I will post pictures and if a video show up of our Counselor's Got Talent Show I will post later. It was too much fun and as usual our counselors out did themselves!! Oh, yeah, and a bit embarrassing too!!
