Worship Wednesday

When things get busy and I am feeling overwhelmed I know that I need to turn my focus to my Heavenly Father and off my circumstances. So as I turn my worries to worship HIM I will share a couple videos this morning.

Ouch.... did you hear these words?

"When they see me do they see you?"

Thank you Lord for your grace and your mercy on me!!
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12

Baseball & More Baseball

In hopes to get the past few months of pictures off my camera, I now present BASEBALL!! Both boys played and we juggled schedules to make the best of their seasons. With a rough beginning for Bub, with breaking his thumb he went on to make the best of a tough season. With a one week break, Legion ball began and we are in the final week of those games. I love watching my kids in everything they do, but I will have to say, I am ready for a break, a short one, but at least what is coming up has to do with intentionally serving the Lord. More on that as the events take place.

He always seems to know when I am taking pix... he makes sure his back is to me!
In Action!

Kea does not have the drive and the heart for sports as Bub does, but he loves the social, getting to do something aspect of playing. He does very well and their little team had lots of first time players but at the end of the season they came together and beat a tough team in the final game of the season. You would have thought they won the championship the way us parents were acting.... its all good. RIGHT!!?? I am the Momma and I am going to cheer for my kids!!! So don't judge, if you don't cheer ecstatically, I know you want too. You just think you have an image to uphold. I on the other hand do not. lol!! Even though Bub would prefer that I sit prim, proper with my mouth shut..... (too bad, its just not in me!) So in being that MOM, I will post lots of pix!!!

Cute!!

GO KEA!!!!
SAFE!!
Finally makes it Home!! (all season he would get upset because he would get on base (a good thing) but would never make it home....bless him!!
WAY TO GO PIRATES!!

Thank you Lord for the talents and the abilities of my boys!!

Lots and Lots of Drumming

Bub has been beating on drums since he was 2!! THIRTEEN YEARS!! It's no wonder I am crazy, huh?? Little did we know all that beating was a good thing. When he was 11 he went to take some lessons and we found out he was a natural. Wow, and all that beating wasn't for nothing.....

100th Post!!

Unbelievable!
Unreal!
I can't believe it! Really 100??? If you started with me in the beginning of my wacky blog, I have to be honest and tell you.... I really didn't think I would ever have anything to blog about. Well was I wrong! I am almost in the mentality that when something occurs ...I think, "I need to blog that". As a matter of fact I have the end of the school year, and the last few weeks to blog  A LOT about... concerts, awards, VBS, etc. I just haven't had enough time to upload my pix and for some reason I don't think that I can write about it unless I have a picture or video to go along with it...... And that is sort of my thinking since I think I sorta started this blog as a Family Scrapbook of sorts. So, those things will come, in time.... hopefully before the new school year begins. lol!!

If you weren't here in the beginning, on August 16, 2011, I started here and I have pretty much stayed true to that initial post. I have PRAISED my Heavenly Father.... I have bragged on my husband, my children and grandson....I have definitely been  RANDOM (cause that's just how I am), and I have tried to refrain from be venting, griping, or complaining...

I thought I would celebrate my 100th post with 100 things about me... naahhh, too boring, I would lose you before # 10. Not, only that I would probably run out of things by # 21 or something would come along that would distract me..... Not that I am easily distracted or anything....
So I thought I would do something a little different, fun & quick! I made this at www.wordle.net and the best part was I didn't have to type in all those words!! It took them straight from my blog!! Pretty nifty!! And yes, in blogging I am trying to simplify and not take up soooo much of my time trying to make everything perfect. Yes, I tend to be a little anal, I started to pick 100 words or my 100 Post titles, but I am trying to apply "let's keep it simple, silly". At the end of my life would all the details that I let consume me really matter??(on that note I know that this isn't exactly centered... and overwhelmed sort of runs off the page... I did try to fix it.... 3 times...and 3 strikes.... I am OUT!! LOL!!

I have looked back over my posts and I love how I am able to see my feelings, or my thoughts, my pictures and my blessings from different times just in the past 10 months. That is worth it all. For those of you that have followed me from the beginning... THANKS!!! And for those of you that have been gracious enough to follow me, Thank you for reading and for all the encouraging comments. I didn't know what a blessing a blog could be!!!
Have a great day!!!

The One Who Calms Part 2

After my last post, I got some comments as well as some emails about how they really needed that post. As well as some that teetered on the edge of "you know that God will take care of the situation" "Oh, ye of little faith". I will be honest here, I almost didn't post it after I wrote it.

Why? Because I knew that it was for me. I am such a worrier, and get anxious about the craziest things. And sometimes, out of nowhere a spirit of fear and anxiousness comes over me and sends me into a tailspin. So, when I put down what is on my mind, and what God is showing me over a certain situation, I sometimes have a hard time sharing, because it makes me vulnerable and that's a whole other issue.

There are many of you that never happens to, but the definition fits me to a tee...

Vulnerable: open to moral attack, criticism, temptation

Does anyone get my drift?? If you do, you understand. If you don't, you probably won't understand.

I know that I should share what God has done for me and is teaching me. It is just hard for me sometimes. For those of you that commented, emailed or messaged me on that post, thank you. Some of you shared your burdens with me and I appreciate the opportunity to pray for you. Another way to take my eyes off my circumstances and to lift others burdens to the Lord!

The words in the song below spoke to me the morning after I posted..... Once again a reminder that when I am faced with uncertainty and I feel as if I am being tossed to & fro....He'll Hold Me. I am so thankful for HIS PROMISES!! He will never leave me nor forsake me!! I am His and He is mine!

The One Who Calms

Then in their trouble they called to the Lord,
and he saved them from their distress.
 He calmed the raging storm,
  and the waves became quiet.

They were glad because of the calm,
and he brought them safe to the port they wanted.
Psalm 107:28-30(GNT)

In a devotional I read this morning, the underlined words of this Psalm spoke to me.

As life tosses you to and fro, sometimes its a ripple just rocking you gently, sometimes its a scattered thunderstorm that seems to be hit and miss, and then others its the full-fledged knock you off your feet, waves are crashing, kind of storm. With the rains pelting down, the winds blowing at top speeds, the lightning striking at ever turn, and the thunder so loud you can't hear yourself think, you find yourself in a place where your heart is racing, you can't seem to breathe and you feel as if you are all alone with no where to turn.

When in the midst of the storm, all you see is the storm in front of you. You can't see past it, you can only see where you have been and where you are, but what's in front of you? No one knows.  Unfortunately, this is when your eyes are off the Lord and on your circumstances. But, like the words of the above Psalm, you turn to the Lord and cry out to Him. In your fear, your pain, your aching, and in your distress, He hears your cry, and He will calm that raging storm in your heart and your mind. Oh, the winds may still be blowing, waves may be crashing, and the rain may still be coming down, but your Heavenly Father has calmed the storm within you. He is the ONE who can and who WILL calm your storms!

Content: I Get To.....

On my way to work I was thinking of what all I need to do this week, feeling a bit overwhelmed as I tend to be a worry-wart over stuff I need to do versus stuff I didn't get done over the weekend. (don't judge!!lol!!) Knowing that I needed to hand my week to the Lord, I flipped the radio from my normal Contemporary Christian station to JoyFM (Southern Gospel) and the next song that played was "I Get To".

God used that song to remind me what "I Get To" do in my life.

I get to wake up each morning! I am alive!!
I get to get out of bed! I am able!
I get to be a Mom to 4 wonderful children, 1 Son-in-law, and be a "Lolli" to our precious grandson!
I get to wake up my children! I am so blessed - even if they don't realize that its a "get to"
I get to go to work. Praise God I have a job...a lot do not and some aren't able
I get to be married to my best friend - poor thing I sometimes neglect him!
I get to be a daughter to great parents and in-laws.
Ohhh there are so many things that "I Get To" do that sometimes overwhelm me...!!!
I get to go to ball games,  practices, band concerts, etc
I get to cook, clean, do LAUNDRY (lots of it!)
I get to kiss boo boos, nurse, give hugs, love & love some more!!
I  get to be a part of a great Youth/Children's Ministry team.
I get to teach children about our Savior (by the way -another little boy from church got saved last night !!)
I get to be an encouragement to others (now if I would just DO IT!)
I get to have friends that love and encourage me.
I get to pray, praise, study God's word!
I get to be loved by my Heavenly Father!!
Thank you Lord for your blessings on me!!

Lord, thank you for the precious reminder this morning of the things "I Get To" because of you!! My life is full because of your blessings on me! Help me to remember that without you, nothing else is possible! And with you EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!! Even when I become anxious, overwhelmed and in the valley of defeat, I GET TO because of you! Thank you for placing some CONTENTment in my heart this morning!! Praise Your Name!! You are WORTHY!!

There are so many things that "I get to" do that I couldn't never list them all!

What are some things you "get to" do??
